LeBron Raymone James Sr. - born 30 December 1984 - is an pro American basketball player. King James has been widely recognized as being among the most notable basketball stars. Michael Jordan is usually compared in discussions about which is the most outstanding player. James has been the recipient of four NBA Championships as well as the four NBA MVP Awards, the four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He has also won 2 Olympic Gold medals. James scored more points during the playoffs. He also has the second highest number of career points, and ranks seventh among career assists. He has been selected an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times, and was named for his place on the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. The third highest number of NBA Finals ever was ten which included eight consecutive games between 2011-2018. James was selected as a part of the NBA75th Anniversary Team. And in 2022, he became the first NBA player to ever score at least 10,000 points in a career. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent St. Mary High in Akron Ohio, where he grew up. Media across the country portrayed him as a potential NBA superstar. He was in the process of becoming a professional and selected with the top pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft of 2003. In 2004, he received the title of NBA Rookie. He soon was one of the league's best players, and won the NBA MVP title in both 2009 and the year 2010. James was a free agency in 2010 after failing to secure championships for Cleveland. The decision to leave Cleveland in order to join Miami Heat, announced on The Decision, a popular television show The Decision, is considered among the most controversial free agent moves in sports history.
